Stop Gambling Away Your Home-Based Business With Company-Sponsored Training

When a person gambles, the chances of profit are always more in favor of the gamekeeper. It is the gamekeeper’s business to make a profit. Take a look at Las Vegas and how much it has grown over the past 50 years. It didn’t get that way by giving away more more money than it took in. If you roll a die, you only win on one side, thus your chances are only one-sixth. The owner of the die has five-sixth chances to win. That doesn’t seem fair!

The same theory holds true to Network Marketing. Your parent company is the big casino and it is in their best interest to keep growing, no matter who stays or who leaves. If you keep putting money into it based on the way they want you to do things, you’re gambling just like you would in Las Vegas. The longer you sit there waiting for something big to happen, the more you’ll see your savings account dwindle down to nothing and beyond.

Neither casinos nor Network Marketing companies are out to ruin your finances. They both simply give you an opportunity to increase your odds by playing a numbers game. Very few win at the expense of the thousands of others who lose. It would take far too much money and time to train each individual distributor how to successful run his or her business, so instead they focus on teaching the basics of getting a few loyal customers who will keep ordering long after you are gone.

Do you ever notice that year after year, your company’s sales steadily increase while your bank account either stays the same or steadily drops? Do you ever notice the same people on stage year after year getting the high bonuses while you are still sitting in the nose-bleed section wondering what you are doing wrong? If this is you, perhaps it’s time to make some changes in your business. And I’m not talking about quitting!

Good luck waits to come to that person who accepts opportunity. Opportunity doesn’t mean shopping around for a “better” company. If things aren’t working out in your business, things aren’t going to work out in the next company you join just because you think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. You will still be using the same outdated techniques as before, only now you’re helping another company increase their sales.

To attract good luck, it is necessary to take advantage of opportunities. When you follow the lead of your parent company and attend their trainings, there is no guarantee you will succeed. You are gambling with your education. Spending money on something that you hope will make you more money. Have you ever been told that if you attend a company-sponsored training you will get all of your money back if the techniques they teach you don’t work after a year? Probably not.

The good news is that there are opportunities out there that do offer no-risk guarantees. You must first be willing to understand that the world does not revolve around your company’s way of doing things. Just because you signed up as a distributor doesn’t mean you have to follow their lead. When you seek education elsewhere, it doesn’t mean you aren’t dedicated to your product line or company. It just means that you recognize that their way of doing things doesn’t work for you.

Regardless of how much hype is behind the curtain, most companies only offer ways to promote their products rather than really teach you how the basics of marketing. But what happens when you wake up one day and your company has gone belly up? You’ll have a pretty difficult time starting all over learning how to promote a new company’s line of products. That will also just set you up for failure the next time it happens.

With proper marketing education, you can begin to understand the basic structure behind finding a demand and filling it with supply. That’s what makes the difference between simply selling a product or marketing it. You don’t have to gamble away your time and effort talking to every person you meet on the street because marketing is about knowing how to get people to find you. This is just one of those important techniques that your parent company will probably never teach you.

Action leads to the luck of success better than hoping to come across luck. The problem with this is that it only works when your action reflects your education. You don’t want to exert time and energy into something that won’t get you anywhere, like putting flyers on car windshields or hosting house parties for small groups of friends. When your action goes into proven techniques that get people calling you on the phone with their credit card in hand, it will lead to success.

Although there isn’t much difference between a casino and a network marketing company, you do have the power to beat the odds for success. Shift your focus away from gambling with outdated techniques to a solid marketing education. Leave luck to the distributors who aren’t willing to seek proven and guaranteed alternatives to growing a home-based business outside of their company-sponsored trainings.

The only numbers game you should be playing is watching your bank account multiply.
